Thermostatic Radiator Valves

TRV

Due to soaring energy prices it has never been more important to fit TRV's to your radiators. A typical 600 x 1200 radiator is approximately 1kw (equivelent to a 25 x 40w light bulbs in energy consumption)

TRV's are used to control the heat output of radiators allowing room temperature to be controlled individually.

TRV's can save energy being wasted in unused rooms, therefore significantly reducing heating bills.

Room Thermostats

Again, as a result of rising energy costs, the emphasis must be on energy conservation. A room thermostat can significantly reduce fuel bills primarily because it maintains a room temperature. If you running a central heating system without a room thermostat using your boiler output as a control you are simply maintaining water temperature, not room temperature. Running a central heating system without using a room thermostat, your boiler is constantly running, using energy and quite literally burning your money. A room thermostat will control the boiler, turning it off when the desired room temperature is achieved.

Remote room thermostats give you the option to control your heating via any smart phone.

TF1 Filter

Coventry Heating highly recommend installing a filter to your central heating system. These filters contain a highly efficient magnet that captures and retains metallic debris that ordinarily exists in the system due to constant corrosion, this debris normally builds up in radiators reducing their efficiency, also these deposits cause harm to diverter valves and heat exchangers in boilers (the biggest cause of boiler breakdown) resulting in costly repairs. Filters add credibility to any boiler warranties, showing the manufacturer that every effort has been taken to keep the system in good working order. These filters are easily cleaned by you, the home owner reducing the maintenance costs. Also TF1 filters are a convenient point for adding inhibitor chemicals to the system.
